The process starts by feeding plastic material (pellets, granules, flakes or powders) from a hopper into the barrel of the extruder. The material is gradually melted by the mechanical energy generated by turning screws and by heaters arranged along the barrel. The molten polymer is then forced into a die, which shapes the polymer into a shape that hardens during cooling.
At present, extruder systems on the general market are controlled by dedicated temperature instruments for each temperature zone or a complete imported automated system.
The traditional control cabinet controls the temperature through special dedicated instruments, the environmental requirements are high, the operation is cumbersome, stability is not good, and for after-sales maintenance needs to be sent back to the factory, which is troublesome and costly.

Wecon extruder system
The fan cooling type extruder begins to run after the fan starts running，the fan will stabilize the temperature around the set value. The temperature fluctuation is small, and it will not fluctuate frequently, but the cooling speed is slower.
The water-cooling and cooling type extruder is opposite to the former, and the cooling speed is fast, but the temperature fluctuation is large, and the temperature oscillation is frequent. It can be controlled by the main valve on the water pipe and the separate valves in each zone, and each valve will affect the control effect.
2、 hardware configuration (standard)
1 On the HMI main monitoring page, the user can display and set the temperature of each zone. Heating and cooling, will be animated, which allows the user to intuitively monitor the operation of each zone of the extruder.
2 The running speed and actual current of the main screw motor and the feeding motor are monitored in real time, with corresponding animation which appear during operation.

4. Introduction to HMI Functions

2 The running speed and real-time current of the main screw motor and the feeding motor are monitored in real time, and corresponding animations will appear during operation.
5. HMI instrumentation monitoring
1 This screen can be used when the customer only needs to monitor the temperature.
2 Each zone temperature control can be turned on with one button, one button is closed, or it can be turned on separately and turned off separately.
HMI parameter setting
1 The PID parameters of each area are collected together. When using for the first time, the customer needs to go to this page to set the parameters of each district.
2 Set the analog volume of the calibration pressure sensor inside the extruder.
